In the 1970s, Apollo astronauts played golf on the moon. We haven’t been back since. There hasn’t been strong support from the public, or the National Air and Space Administration, to return to the moon’s surface in the past 25 years. But planetary scientists who gathered at a Los Alamos National Laboratory lunar science meeting in Taos earlier this month say it’s high time we went back.
