A House committee may take the air out of NASAs plan to use an inflatable module as a home for astronauts aboard the International Space Station. The House Science Committee will consider a NASA funding bill this week that would bar the space agency from spending any money on inflatable modules such as Transhab.

NASA Administrator Dan Goldin predicted Wednesday that astronauts will be on Mars in two decades. “I believe, deep down, that in no less than 10 and no more than 20 (years), were going to be back on the moon and at Mars . . . there is no doubt in my mind, Goldin said at a meeting with reporters.”
