For five years, Siouxland students have been taking “a giant leap” by taking part in the annual Mars settlement design competition at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
The 135 sophomores, juniors and seniors, who traveled in two separate groups for two competitions, were joined by Houston-area students and divided into four aerospace engineering companies with approximately 40 young scientists per team.
